While not prepared at the moment to stale what the form of assistance to fruitgrowers would take, the tiovornment vesterdny afternoon gave a definite assurance to a deputation representative of the fruitgrowing industry in. the Nelson district that fruitgrowers would not be any worse off in the future than they had been in the past. The deputation pointed out that it for any reason orchardists ceased to work their orchards, the result to the province and the Dominion would 'be manifest, in a falling off of business, and a considerable addition to the ranks of the unemployed.
