COMPETITION STRONG DOMINION CROSSBREDS (Reed. Sept. 23, noon.) LONDON, Sept. 22. At the London wool sales to-day 9018 bales were offered, including 5630 from New Zealand, and 7940 were sold. There was a moderate selection, largely of New Zealand crossbreds, which were strongly competed for and well cleared, chiefly to the home trade, at prices favouring the sellers. Inferiors were frequently withdrawn. Prices of New Zealand lots were : Greasy halfbred, Wairewa, top 16d, average 14id; slipe halfbred lambs, T.B.S. in Diamond/Canterbury, top 17d, average 14^d.
