COUPLE'S DEVOTION
SOUTHAMPTON, Aug. 12
A patrol policeman was to-day called to a two-roomed Cottage in oiie of the poorest quarters of Southampton. Neighbours had suspicions that the occupants—aged Mr. and Mrs. Eobcrt Scott—who had not been seen for Javs, Were dead. He climbed a ladder; looked through the tiny window. Mrs. Scott barred his entry.
The policeman forced the door downstairs. He found Mr. Scott dead. Mrs. Scott was grasping his hand:
Mr. Scott had, according to a doctor, died three days ago. ( Grief Stricken, his wife had not eaten since. She Was given stimulants and taken from the little homo of tragedy.
