Reconst ruction, including widening and metalling, is to be undertaken to the. Waikarenionna- Rotorua road this vear at. a cost, ot £.U>,IMM* up 1° March HI, 1987. The estimated cost of the work is £-10,(Kill. The work will be done to n standard required for modern mot or transport between the lake and the thermal wonders of the Rotorua- district.
Work has been in- progress at each end of the road for some- months, and at the time of preparing the Public. Works Department’s report 877 men were employed.
