ADVOCATE OF POLICY VIEWS OF MR. SCRIMGEOI’R (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Interviewed concerning a report, that lie may be appointed to a post in connection with the Government’s scheme of commercial radio, tho Rev. 0. G. Scrimgeour said it was no secret that he delinitoly was interested in the introduction ,of commercial radio and had had many conferences on the subject with the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. AL J. Savage.
Al r. Scrimgeouv said he had advocated the policy as the only satisfactory means of: providing, without cost to the listener, a service worthy of comparison with other countries. “ Regarding the control of this service 1 expect the Prime Minister will make announcements when he is ready, and in the meantime it- is not mv place to make further comment,” said Air. Berimgeour.
