AUCKLAND AIRPORT
PLANS OF BOARD PREPARATIONS READY (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. If the plans for a seaplane service to New Zealand mature, the Auckland Harbour Board will be immediately ready to undertake the establishment of a suitable airport. At a meeting of the board, the chairman, Mr. C. G. Maelndoe, said the work would be done as soon as the board knew that the service was to bo inaugurated, and that an itinerary had been fixed.
“Probably,” said Mr. Maelndoe, “the board will have to undertake the work in a very short time. You may be assured that Ihe appointments will be very up-to-date, with facilities for expeditious Customs clearance and medical examination, and for a good road right on the site.”
