SYDNEY, Aug. 21

During (lie past two months, farmers around Quondong have been greatly worried by an Alsatian dog which lias been killing their sheep. Mr. Nethcrcliffe shot the dog in tho act of killing its sixth sheep for the night. It is estimated that nearly 300 sheep, valued at Cl each, have been killed. In very few. cases had the sheep been eaten. It seems that the dog killed them for the sport of it. Cr. R. Pen fold has given notice to the Bland Shire Council, one of the biggest shires in the State, that lie will move at the next meeting that a ban be placed on Alsatian dogs. There are many Alsatians in the shire, and several studs.
