INCREASE CONTINUES Radio receiving license figures continue to increase at the rale of approximately 660 a week, according to a return prepared by the director-general of the l’ost and Telegraph Department. The total number of receiving licenses In the Dominion at duly 31 was 203.32 ft, tin l figure two mouths before being 107.908. The grand total of radio licenses of all types is 206.916. there being 1132 dealers’ permits. 991 amateur permits and a number of minor classifications. A comparison of the receiving figures only with the receiving total at July 31, 1955. which was 16d.d11, shows that there has been an increase of 23 per cent in 12 months.
