OVER £4,000,000 IN WEEK INCREASE IN BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.)' Roc. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 2;j. The Exchequer returns show that the receipts from income tax during the week ended on August 22 totalled £4,00(5,000, this being nearly £1,000,000 more than in the corresponding week of 1935. The total ordinary revenue amounts to £220,845,510, compared with £236,355,208 at the corresponding date of last year. The total ordinary expenditure was £293,900,012, compared with £283,283,909 at rne corresponding date in 1935.
