Those days were recalled to-day when after 21 years Dr. W. N. Abbott, Auckland, greeted his brother, .Mr. JL ]|. S. Abbott, now a noted inventor in London, on the Mariposa. One of the inventions is an artificial electric eel, which has produced the first commercial means of handling the atom. The invention provides a means of treating water and other fluids by polarising. A method for the prevention of scab' and corrosion in pipes and tanks also can be applied to internal
combustion engines, increasing the mileage arid eliminating carbon from the cylinders. Mr. R. 11. S. Abbott later visits Australia and Japan.
