DOMINION MUSEUM
MAORI EXHIBITS At one time it was thought that the jjreat .Maori Hall at the New Dominion Aluseuin, Wellington, would afford more than enough room for the Maori exhibits .-o be displayed. That estimate now :eenis to be a'good way out. The great ,var canoes and .Maori houses arc so mlky that almost, the whole of the central floor space is occupied by half a lozen exhibits. In addition there will ie glass dust-proof showcases 6ft. in leight, all round the hall, but these will live space only to a comparatively few jxhibits. Under these circumstances the Maori section of the museum probably will have ;o be extended to the large rooms at the back, which originally were to have been used as workrooms.
