CARD EVENING fHurald Correspondent.) A very enjoyable five-hundred evening was held in the Waingakc schoolroom on Wednesday in aid of the school funds. Although the night was intensely cold, there was an average attendance and close and interesting games. At the conclusion of play a sumptuous supper was handed round by Cue ladies. During Ihe evening the Country Schools Cup, won by the school at the Winter Show, was on exhibition. The players who handed in the best cards were Miss Klhel Wykes and Mr. D. Cnvell.
