In the best and fastest wrestling match in Christchurch this season, Pete Mehringer (United Slates) beat .7oe .Kopach Woods (United States), after a penalty fall against Woods in the eighth round of a professional contest to-night. .Mehringer weighed 15.6 and Woods 15.3. Each man had gained one fall previously, W 7 oods in the second round with a yokehold and body press and Mehringer in the fifth, with a body press after flying tackles. The penalty fall was given against Woods for elbow jolts after being warned not to continue them. Mehringer looked as though he would not have been able to continue."
