Perry, welcomed delegates and introduced the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop. who declared' the conference open and wished it success.

The adoption of the annual report was moved by Mr. W. 13. Leadley, tho Rev. J. M. Stewart seconding, but its adoption was held over to enable a. committee to report on tho veterans' home at Auckland. Committees were set up to consider remits 'sent by branches.
