Some amusing sidelights ou the production of electrical equipment were offered to Cisborne Rotarians to-day by Mr. A. .1. Shackleton. who addressed (lie Rotary Club ou factory conditions in the Trafford Bark works of Metropolitan Vickers, Limited. Discussing certain ni-.inifcslations of electrical power, Mr. Shackleton observed that, he would not go into technical details of the constitution of an ampere. "It. will interest you lo know, however," he continued, "that amperes arc the little chaps which. when married to volts, produce the nrop of electrical units which figure so largely in your accounts from tho Power Board."
