TRUCKING OP VEGETABLES A ruling that the trucking of vegetables on Anzao Day is not a work of necessity, given by Mr. J. 0. L. Hewitt, S.M., in the Magistrate'? Court at Ohakune recently, has caused concern among growers in the district. The case before the court was an action under the Police Offences Act relating to Sunday hading, the magistrate stating that Anzac Day was treated as a Sunday. He added 'that he considered the Act should he revised, as there might be borderline cases. Growers have, been in the habit of loading on Sundays and holidays for years, and they state that, if necessary, they will continue, the practice.
