With the death of Mr. Robert Richard White, at the age of 82, Mercury Bay lias lost one of its host-known figures.. Born at Matala, Bay of Plenty, lie lived in Mercury Bay for 64- years, being engaged in timber contracting and boat building. With his .brother ha built the schooner Saucy Kab-j, besides many racing skill's.
