MANY EXECUTIONS
ILLICIT OPIUM TRADE (Reed. May 28, 11.30 a.m.) ' GENEVA, May 27. Dr. Wellington Koo told the opium' committee of the League of Nations that 970 persons were executed in China Inst year for trading in and the consumption of drugs. The Chinese Government had succeeded in restricting secret factories. Traffickers were the biggest obstacle at present. A vast trade was conducted by foreigners in China.
