LEAGUE COUNCIL SEAT
N.Z. CANDIDATURE EMPIRE SUPPORT (Reed. May 27, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, May 26. Britain and all the Dominions, except the Irish Free State, which has not yet replied to the soundings, have undertaken to support New Zealand’s candidature for the seat on the Council of the League of Nations, which Australia vacates in September. The support of the Irish Free State ii also expected as, among other things, New Zealand supported the election of the Free State to the Council.
