PLUNKET SOCIETY EFFORT GOOD GISBORNE RESULT At the final meeting yesterday afternoon of the working committee of the Gisborne Plunket Society in connection with the recent beautiful baby photographic exhibition Mrs, J. Blair, the acting president of the society, presided, others present being' Mesdames W. Cave, J. O. Musgrave, and Messrs. H. F. Forster, T. J. Adair, J. O. Musgrave, and S. V. Tate.
Bearing out her statement regarding the willing assistance given by all, Mrs.. Blair pointed out that thrpughout the campaign the total expenses incurred amounted to only £lB 3s. The sum collected in penny votes was the highly satisfactory amount of £461 8s 2d, and donations, public luncheon, and afternoon fea brought the total up to £473.
A vote of thanks was accorded to the gentlemen present for their valued assistance. It was decided that a letter of thanks should be forwarded to Mr. T. E. Toneyeliffe thanking him for the use of Petties’ lounge. The question of trophies was discussed and Mrs. Blair was authorised to distribute them.
