PROTECTION OF BABIES LONDON, April 9. Special methods of protection for young children and babies against gas attacks from the air are being developed. Air. Geoffrey Lloyd, Home Office Under-Secretary, announced this in the House of Commons yesterday. He said .an effective form of respirator for list! bv the civil population had been devised. These respirators would be issued free in areas exposed to danger. Factories putting respirators of their own design on the market, he. said, would have to submit their products to Government inspection. If satisfactory, the respirators would be stamped with a Home Office certification mark. People would he unwise, Air. Lloyd added, to buy respirators which did not bear litis mark.
