CONSPIRACY TO MURDER
VERDICT OF THE JURY VICTORIAN CASE (KJec. Tot. Copyright —United Press Assn.) MELBOURNE, Alay 26. The case of Lachlan Ale Lachlan, ao’ed 23 years, who was charged with the murder of George Vickers, aged 2-1 years, whose body was found near Albert Park Lake on December 2-1, 1924, or alternatively with having conspired with Vickers that each ot them should commit suicide, was again before the Criminal Court to day.
When the jury, by the direction of Air. Justice Lowe, returned' a verdict of not guilty of murder, but guilty of conspiracy to murder, McLachlan was immediately released on his own bond of £2O to bo of good behaviour. Since the case had come before the court on Friday, Air. Justice Lowe had consulted his brother judges on the unusual problem arising from the jury’s findings.
