PRAISE BY LADY GALWAY VISIT TO Mil/FORD TRACK Enthusiastic praise of the scenery of the South Island was given by Lady Oalway when she passed through Christ - church this week on her way hack to Wellington from a Southern tour. With the Hon. Mrs. White and Miss White, cousins of Iter Excellency, and Captain A. lleher-I'ercv, A.D.C. to the Gover-nor-General, l.adv Galway spent more than a fortnight visiting the Southern hakes, the Hermitage, the Mili'ord Track and the Kglinion Valley.

Lady Galwav said the party had an excellent time, and the weather was very kind. They had only three hours of rain all the time they were away from Wellington. and. 'although the mule (hey followed was very strenuous, they all found it most enjoyable. The parly walked over the Mili'ord Track each' way and all were greatly impressed with the grandeur and beauty of the scenery. They drove up the K'glinton Valley road and even into the tunnel mouth. Lady Galway talked I'm; a few minutes with the workmen boring the tunnel.

Lakes Wanaka and Wakalipu were visited before the parly returned to Invercargill and Dunedin. liefore leaving for the steamer express at Lyttelton the members of the party all said the whole trip was most enjoyable.
