GMenzies, Dr. Earle Rage, and Mr. S. M. Bruce, met. Mr. Walter Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, Me. Malcolm MacDonald, the Dominions Secretary, Viscount Swinton, the Secretary of .State for Air, and the Marquis of Hartington, in the House of Commons, the chief object being to lay down a programme for negotiations, but some progress was made in the Pacific shipping question, Messrs. Page and Menzies pleading its urgency. It is understood that New Zealand may desire special representation, in which case a full conference could not begin for six weeks. It would he possible, however, to begin earlier with the High Commissioner, Sir James Parr, acting for New Zealand.
