MURDER OF ADMIRAL
ANOTHER NOTE POUND ALLEGED ENGLISH AGENT DENIAL OP SUGGESTION (Reed. March 27, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, March 26. The discovery of another note on the floor of the hall, reading, "This English agent sent 52-Irishmen to the English forces in the* last seven weeks," confirm? the theory concerning the motive for the assassination of Vice-Admiral Henry Boyle Somerville, who was murdered by gunmen who called at his home at Cork on Wednesday night. . ;„•. . . It is stated, however, that there is not the slightest justification for the suggestion that he was a recruiting agent. He was aloof from all politics and never canvassed for naval recruits. He could not prevent young men seeking advice from him' as a naval man, which he regarded as aii inevitable rather than a troublesome duty.
