MOTHER EXONERATED

CHARGE OF SHOOTING RECOVERY OF SON SANTA BARBARA, March 20. Jesse Livermore's mother was exonerated to-day on a charge of shooting him. TTie boy, who recovered after hovering for several months between life and death, assumed the blame for the shooting. During a wild party given on November 9 at the home of Mrs. Dorolla Livermore, the divorced wife of a famous Wall Street financier, her son, Jesse Livermore, jun., aged 15 years, was dangerously shot. According to guests, both mother and son were "very intoxicated" and were engaged in a drunken argument over the youth's drinking habits. The police alleged that the boy was shot by the mother, but in the hospital the lad said it was an accident.
