ENJOYABLE PARTY (Herald Correspondent.) Mrs. F. Peddle was hostess at 'a delightful party at her home, "Alcuin," in honour of her twice, Miss L. Harhis. Mrs. P.. F. Jackson assisted her mother to entertain the guests, and played enjoyable, dance music. Bright autumn flowers were arranged in the drawing-room, and the ballroom was gay with, streamers of brightly coloured papers. Dancing and games kepi the young people happily entertained. Amongst, those present were : Misses P. Davidson (Rakauroa.), X. and B. Hutchins, F. Moffatt, D. Donaldson. B. and M. Fisher, S. and P. Twisleton, 11. Parkes, M. Derecourt, .1. Arthur, P. Grantham, I. M. "Dare (Matawai), and K. Shaw (Rakauroa) ; Messrs. S. Donaldson, L. Castles, J. Phare, J. Peddle, R. F. Jackson, R. Caulton (Matawai), D. Witters (Matawai), 11. Shaw (Rakauroa), Davidson (Rakauroa), B. Clark (Matawai), C. Woods, Beefs (2), W. Bain, R. Hansen, Twistleton (2), Rbynd. and G. Derecourt. Mrs. W. Kohn, Gisborne, and her two small sons are the guests of Mrs. W. A. Wright, "Kaipono."—Mr. and Mis. F. 11. liull. Misses E. M. Dennis. 1.. Godfrey and 1). Hawkins were weekend visitors to Motu.—■ Mrs. F. Peddle and Mrs. R. P. Jackson are spending a holiday at Tauranga.—Miss L. Harris, who has been, staying with her aunt, Mrs. P. Peddle, returned io Gisborne on Monday. the. MoUi-Motuhora Dramatic Circle is fortunate in having Mrs. W. Kohn as producer for two plays which are being entered in the Drama Festival at Gisborne. The plays being rehearsed are, "Five Characters in Search of a Change," and "Pig Iron."
