With the. formation of a National Coursing Association, which lias taken over the control of tin hare racing tor the whole of New Zealand, the season for tin hate racing has been extended to the whole year. Originally tin hare racing finished oa March l and dogs competing after that date were automatically disqualified from taking part in Plilmpton coursing. A feature of the tin hare racing tomorrow night will ho the open event, in which Welcome News will start with a handicap of 10yds. as a result of -his having had four wins in succession, A reappearance will be made in this race of Mr. E. Lund’s Golden Ranch (formerly Golden Chance), which holds the track record.

A cup has been presented hv Mr. B. Wallace for the dog gaining most, points in tin have racing during the season. To he held permanently, the cup must, be won t wice, not necessarily in succession. The cup is to be known ns the Q.E.D. Cup. Amongst other features will be a challenge cycle race of six laps between ,H. Freddy and G. .Solomon.
