CHICAGO, Jan. 10.

A new record—a year without the loss of a life of n passenger in a train accident —was claimed for United States railroads 10-dny.

"Not a single passenger was hilled in an accident on a train during 1930," asserted Mr. Harry Guy Taylor, chairman of the Western Association of Railway Executives. Mr. Taylor said he believed it was the first time in history that the railroads had achieved a perfect record in that respect.
