MISSION TO AUSTRALIA

MELBOURNE, March 2

As the direct result of the recent visit to Manchester by tho Australian Prime Minister, Mr. ,1. A. Lyons, Sir Ei-nest Thompson and Mr. 11. C. Ellis arrived by the 'Strathnaver on a trade mission from the Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

Sir Ernest Thompson explained that the object of their mission was to establish direct contact between Lancashire and the Australian States, and explore the possibility of increasing trade.
