NEW SOUTH WALES LEAD MATCH WITH VICTORIA SYDNEY. Jan. 27. in the Sheffield .Shield cricket match against Victoria, New South Wailes, in its first- innings, made 325. Chilvers, who was 36 not out., was injured and was unable to play to-day. Ebeling took three wickets for 52 runs and' Welch three for 98. Victoria, in its first innings, made 165 (Rigg 68 and Scaife 32). White, took three wickets for 25 runs and Hynes si.v for 25. New South Wales, in its second strike, lost none for 84 (Fallowfield 45 not out. and Mudgo 39 not- out).
