OBITUARY
MRS. J. W. WOODHEAD
) A highly respected resident of the Matawai district, Mrs. Mary Ann Wood head, wife of Mr. John William Woodbead, died at the Cook Hospital this . morning, aged 75 years. The deceased was born in Bolton. England, where she passed her earlier years. At the age of 25 she married Mr. Woodhead in Bolton. Five years later Mr. and Mrs. Woodhead came out to New Zealand. The first 10 years of Mrs. Woodhead's residence in this country were spent- in (he Auckland district, but sin- moved to Matawai 25 years ago and hail been a resident there ever since. The late Mrs. Woodhead leaves no family of her own. but is survived by an adopted son. Mr. F. 11. Norris, Pnha, The deceased, who had been ailing for only a. week, will he greatly missed by the residents' of Matawai. A short service will he held at- the residence of Mr A. J. Wood, 264 Ormond road, at. 2.15 p.m. to-morrow, and the funeral will leave at 2.20 p.m. for Hie Tarnberu cemetery.
