"This is, perhaps, an indication of what the Government's policy in regard to the re-admission of five-year-olds will be," said Mr. T. U. Wells, chairman oi the Auckland Education Board at a recent meeting of the board, when a communication was received from the Education Department, asking that the board furnish particulars of school accommodation "in order that the Minister may be assured that reasonable and satisfactory conditions will prevail in regard to the admission of five-year-old children at the beginning of the new school year." After several members stated tliat the same accommodation was offering now as was available when the five-year-olds were attending school before, the board decided to inform the department that if would take what steps were needed to meet the situation.
