LONDON HOTEL .ROBBERY £IOOO REWARD OFFERED LONDON, Nov. 12. A reward of £IGCO has been offered for information leading to the arrest ol a thief or thieves who took £IO.OOO worth of jewellery Irom the suite of Mr. and Airs. Montague Salmon at tlie Hotel Metropole, Northumberland avenue, (.'haring Cross, on Sunday evening. Mr. Salmon said last night that the missing jewellery is the property oi his wife, and consists almost entirely of lings and bracelets. One. ring alone is worth about £7.000. The suite can he reached only through the public rooms of the hotel. It is believed that a man previously stayed at the hotel and thus gained an intimate knowledge of the rooms which are permanently 1 occupied by Air. and Airs. .Montague Salmon. Mr. and Airs. Salmon had been out in the country during Sunday, and their personal maid was also away when the raid took place-lads apparently- known to the raider. “It is a very mysterious- robbery.” Mr, Salmon said. ' “1 cannot understand how the burglar entered the suite and was apparently able to go straight to, where the jewellery was kept in my wife’s bedroom. ’
