PASSENGER'S INJURIES VERDICT FOR £758 After deliberating for just, hinder four hours a jury in the Auckland Supreme Court returned a. verdict in favor of a passenger who was injured in a. collision between a motor van and a motor lorry, for £758. The action occupied two days before Air. Justice Callan. The plaintiff was Sydney Francis Boyd, farmer, of .Buckland, and the defendants Percy H. Lapwood, carrier. Eddie Lapwood, motor driver, and Sydney Lapwood, motor driver, all of Tuakau. Tho accident happened on the Tua-kau-Port Waikato road on November IS of last year, when a van in which plaintiff was a, passenger collided with. one. of two lorries which had been drawn, up .side by side just round abend in the road and which were in. charge of two of the defendants. As a result of the collision the plaint ill' had suffered permanent injury to his left, wrist. The jury's verdict was for £SB 13s special damages and £7OO general damages, judgment being entered accordingly with costs as per scab;, disbursements, and witnesses' expenses to be fixed by the registrar. For the second day's hearing £ls ]ss was allowed.
