ALL-DAY FIGHT
TROOPS ON MARCH ABYSSINIAN AMBUSCADE ASKARIS CLAIM VICTORY FURTHER AIR RAIDS CHURCH SET ON FIRE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Nov. 16, 11.40 a.m.) ASMARA, Nov. 15. A buttle lusting all day followed a column of Italian Askaris advancing upon Asbi to join General Santini's column. The Askaris were ambushed in a narrow mountain path by 1000 Abyssiniiins, who enfiladed the column with machino guns. The Askaris deployed and eventually dislodged the Abyssinians, who-were dispersed, leaving 59 dead and many wounded. Four Italian officers and 20 Askaris were killed. Fifty Askaris were wounded. Colonel Mariotti then occupied Asbi. An air squadron bombed a large encampment of 500 tents outside Antalo, south of Makale, causing a panic among the Abyssinians. An official message says that Major Delmonte, who had been previously reported as killed, was only wounded. An Addis Ababa message reports that Italian planes dropped ;">0 bombs on B'agabur, setting fire to a church and killing a priest. MOBILE HOSPITAL DEPARTURE FROM LONDON ANOTHER UNIT PLANNED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 14. The British mobile hospital unit organised by the British Red Cross for service in Ethiopia left St. Thomas' Hospital yesterday. As the difficulties of the country are known to be enormous, and as nothing can be obtained there, they are carrying all medical and other stores. More funds are being raised for another unit to follow as quickly as possible. HOSTILITY OF STUDENTS ABYSSINIAN IN PARIS LECTURE PREVENTED PARIS, Nov. 14. Students of the Faculty of Arts mobbed the Abyssinian adviser at Geneva, Professor Jeze, and prevented hint from opening a course of lectures. The police dispersed student pickets. Free fights ensued. Arrests followed, while their colleagues yelled "Jeze, resign. "Why aren't you at the front?"
