The Waihi Hospital trouble, which has proved a lengthy affair, involving the dismissal of the matron and the resignation of the nursing and domestic staff, the medical superintendent and the assistant medical superintendent, to gether with many stormy meetings of the board, now shows signs of Hearing an end. The latest development is that Hit appointment of Dr A. Jenkins, of Pukemiro, as medical superintendent. has heen approved by the Minister of Health. The new matron, Mrs Paddock, has assumed her duties, and it is understood that the nursing and domestic staff is back to normal.
