Mr Fagan commented on the great building boom in Britain, saying that England was virtually in the process of being rebuilt consequent on the spread of employment. “The unspent income, or the savings of the people of Britain, amounts roughly to £25(1,000,000 annually,” lie said. “A large proportion of this wealth, formerly loaned to other countries, is now invested in the building industry. Uneiuplvmeiit figures show a decrease of nearly 1.000,000 in the last two years. The building boom is responsible for at least: 80 per cent of this improvement. ’ ’
