WAELii: N G a - A -111 K A M E LOT - INC! The Wnerengu-a-hika Women’s Institute’s monthly meeting was hold in the Parish Hull last week. There was a lair attendance, Mrs Harrow presiding, Alter tile ode letters were read from the JLJlind institute and' Crippled Children ’s Association, and it was- decided to give a donation to the latter body. ' An invitation was accepted from the Patutahi Women’s Institute to attend its liirthday parly. The monthly competitions resulted: Article honeycombed.—JM is Willi a 111 s, J.; Miss Jennings, 2; Airs Harrow, Collection of biscuits, from one mixlure. —.Mrs Paulson, 1 and 2. Vase ,oJ' flowers. —Mrs Williams, J; Miss .leunines, 2; Airs Greig and M,rs Duncan, A competition arranged by Aliss Jennings, was won by Airs Kirhnrdson. The roll call, a cure for chilblains, was well responded to. A tea tray was presented to the institute by Airs Williams. Xew members enrolled were Mesdaines Torric and Carr, while Aliss Torrie was a visitor. The hostesses were Airs Kiehardsoa and Airs Williams. A most enjoyable card evening was held by .the institute, on Thursday
evening. There was a good attendance and some keen games were played by live-hundred enthusiasts. The winners were:—Ladies. —Airs Candy, I; Airs Barrow, 2. Gentlemen.— Mr. Warrington, 1; Air. Hichardson, L\ After cards a dainty supper was served by the institute committee.
