MORE BICYCLE RACKS?
EXPERIMENT SUCCESSFUL BOROUGH COUNCIL MOVE More bicycle racks may bo placed in Gladstone road, as a result of the success of the experimental racks constructed Ihree months ago. This was discussed by the Borough Council last night, following a report from the town clerk, Mr. W. M. -Tenkins, as follows:*—“Three cycle racks wore authorised by the council to be placed near the entrances to the theatres as an experiment to see how they worked, some three months ago. Sufficient use has been made of these racks, voluntarily, by cyclists to warrant the council, considering the extension of these facilities as recommended by the traffic inspector in a special report of April last. ’ ’ The. matter was referred to the works committee.
