heap. t Gendarmes found two white feathers on Cuisinier, and noted traces of coal dust on his boots. The man protested his innocence, but the Briey court's sentence of .four months' imprisonment Was confirmed bv a Nancy court. t
' The appeal court of Besaneon quashed the sentence. The white feathers, it. considers, may well, as Cuisinier stated, have come from.his bed mattress.
