PROTEST FIRES
CHaTHALM, June 1. A chain of bonfires blazed'out on the hilltops along the Medway River last night in. protest during Great Britain's first major "air raid" rehearsal.
Except for the hilltop flares, apparently the work of a group opposed Britain's new air expansion policy, the official "blackout," organised 'by the British Admiralty to test the vulnerability of naval dockyards here, was pronounced a succesis.
