SETTEE CATCHES FIRE
MAN’S LUCKY ESCAPE AWAKENED BY SON (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. After his xvil'e and most of his ehil-' dron retired, Mr S. W. Moult, of Miramar, fell asleep on a settee before a (i re. By some means the settee became' alight. Mr Moult did not awake, but luckily a son canto in and aroused him, though with great difficulty. A fire' extinguisher from the ear failed to put '.lie settee out, and a garden hose was used by Mr Moult, who kept the lire in cheek in this way while his son called tip the brigade, who soon ar-' "ived. Mr Moult thinks lie was fortunate to escape with his life. In 15113 lie was blown iif) in a house in Thompson street.
