Mr Walter Elliot, speaking at Yeovil, announced that he was introducing egislntion next week extending the beef subsidy for 16 months, at the end of which lie hoped that the Government's long-term agricultural policy would bo ready. This will allow producers 16 .months instead of three to make arrangements.
