(Horald Correspondent.) The dramatic and entertainment eirch met. yesterday -afternoon; there being a fair attendance considering the adverse weather. After the reading of a play, discussion took place, on the form oi entertainment, to be staged at the institute’s birthday party on August 7. Afternoon tea was dispensed later. Mr <!. Hat son is visiting his mother in Wellington. There was a fair attendance at the fortnightly euchre tournament held last evening by the Pututuhi Howling Club. After some keenly contested games tin prizes were won by -Miss L. Baty and Mr F. Callaghan, In connection with I lie proposed formation of young farmers’ clubs, intending members' and others interested are asked to communicate with the head tcachei of the Patutahi School before July 17, when a meeting will be held in Gisborne to explain the aims and objects ol t ho clubs, it is hoped that the local youth will combine to form a club worthy of the district. There were four degrees of frost at Patutahi last night.
