TOLAGA SUB-UNION FUTURE FIXTURES (Herald Correspondent.) The fortnightly meeting of the Tolagn Bay Rugby Sub-union was held on Monday night, when, iu the absence ol Messrs. Lockwood and Larsen, Messrs. W. Prince and V. F. Hurlstone were elected chairman and secretary respectively. The delegates from the new Tauwhareparao club, Messrs. J. Lincoln and Nelson, were welcomed. Owing to last .Saturday’s matches being postponed on account of the rain, the junior representatives were unable to visit Ruatoria and have once again lost the fixture. It. was decided, as the next available date was indefinite, that a- match be arranged with Tokomaru Bay for the Junior Gup and banner on J uiy 20. Several applications for transfers and registrations from players were dealt with. It was decided, in view of the impending trip to Wairoa, that no -senior matches be arranged for Saturday next. The juniors will play a Possible v. Probable match. The senior fixtures for Saturday, July 20, will be: Hauiti v. Pikea, at 1.30 p.m.; Tauwliareparae v. Country', at 3 p.m. For the Barry Cup match at Wairoa on Saturday, July 13, Mr. A. W. Larsen was appointed manager. Players are requested to assemble in good time to leave, at 6 a.in. Breakfast will be had at Gisborne. Local enthusiasts arc optimistic regarding the success of.the Tolagn Bay team, which put up a great game against Bay of Plenty. It is over seven years since Tolagn Bay held the Barry Cup, and it would be very gratifying to the sub-union if the success was repeated.
