DANGER OF WAR
BRITISH PRELATE’S VIEW (Received April 20, 3 p.m.) LONDON, April 19. The Archbishop of Canterbury, preaching a Good Friday sermon at St. Sepulchre's, declared that there was no immediate danger of war. It was foolish to talk ns though there were, but explosives were gathered which a spark might kindle and spread a conflagration involving multitudes in unprecedented horrors, plunging innocent women and children into new forms of suffering and death. Therefore all, whether rulers or people, who fomented suspicion, were crying out: “Lot Christ be crucified.”
