STRIKE TO CONTINUE
BRISBANE ABATTOIRS PUBLIC NOT AFFECTED (Received February 18, noon.) BRISBANE, Feb. 18. The unions involved decided unanimously to continue the Brisbane abattoirs strike until the Meat Industry Board consented to negotiate with them outside the Arbitration Court. The unions- have called for volunteers to picket certain butchers’ shops. Brisbane so far lias not suffered! a meat shortage, as the master butchers are killing their own cattle and slieep, and. by drawing on export stocks, there is sufficient meat to supply the city’s requirements for three weeks.
