(USBORXE rLYING CLUE The Gisborne Flying Club held the first race- of the second series of . its young bird season last Friday evening. The. race was from .Motnhora, 38 miles airline. The birds were liberated at 4.4 p.m. and undoubtedly unfavorable flying conditions must have been encountered by the homing birds, ns only three enisles were clocked in that evening. Very slow velocities were registered, the first birds taking nearly three hours to home to their lofts. » The results were: F. Green’s r.e.li. Belgium Lady, 405.8yds per min., 1: F. Green’s h.e.e. Blue Ghanee, 389.2yds per min., 2: J. Dearness’ r.c.c. Silver Coin. 331.4yds per min., 3.
