VIOLET-RAY APPARATUS TEST OF DEVICE (Elcc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Jan. 7, 10.30 a.m.) BOMBAY, Jan. 6. A violet-ray mosquito-killing apparatus invented' by Vitnli Menasche was demonstrated to-day in the water-logged country where it had been erected. The device consists of a 'hollow tower with an ultra violet-ray tube. There is an insect trap in the centre and a powerlul fan at the base. Insects arrived in flocks within few minutes. The pile of dead in the insect trap was so largo that it was impossible to estimate the numbers.
